(To be honest: I couldn't find the file format anymore. That's why I
concentrated to HDB-UUCP).
(Okay, I'll revise it...)

And while we're on the subject: my initial goal was to change the
uutraf.c program to the output format of uutraf.pl. While considering
this, I decided that a rewrite in perl was much easier, given its
powerful form handling. The rest was -as Paul O'Neill mentioned- just fun.
