wanted, deTeX-utility, termcap-entry

Hi there,

Is there anybody out there who has a program which can remove 
the (La)TeX commands but leave the rest of the text unchanged.
The "detex" program in the original TeX distribution prints each
word on a new line and removes all punctuations, which is not
what I want.

I'm also looking for a termcap entry for a DEC VT220 in VT100 mode 
for use with GNU Emacs (v18). The default VT100 entry does not work
properly.
