Let's have ONE standard lharc!

(Sorry for the wide distribution. Followups are directed to comp.sources.d.)
There seem to be zillions of versions of the "lharc" archiver floating around,
with no coherent version numbering scheme so it's next to impossible to tell
which versions are more recent than others. I'd like to coordinate an effort
to come up with one standard version of lharc, and keep track of patches in
one place so that there'll be some order to the version numbers.
The version I'm using right now is "C-LHarc Version 1.00," from alt.sources.
Someone has sent me a version 1.02, derived from 1.00, but with some patches
for better operation on Amiga systems. Which other versions are out there
in source form? The version I'm using seems the most stable of any I've seen,
so I think it's a good starting point.
If the original authors of any of the lharc versions would prefer to keep
control of the source, that's fine with me, but I'd like to know. Right now
there are lots of people doing their own things with the program, and I'd
like to see the mess sorted out for the sake of the users.
At some point, I have some changes to make to the software, too, but I'd rather
change a unified, standard version of the program than create yet another
off-the-wall version to confuse people.
The lharc program is really nice (though a bit slow) and I'd like to see it
become a more widespread standard.
