Dynamic linking

With all due respect to VMS, it did not invent sharable libraries, rather
it was Un*x's far from forgotten progenitor, Multics.  When considering
the concept, you may want to look there for ideas.  You may also want to
remember that dynamic linking was one of the 'icks' purposely omitted
in the design of your favorite operating system.
