I've seen the following bandied about a lot:
> "The C Programming Language: A language which combines the

and the one comment I have always had about that is, as written,
it's neither a joke nor a flame, just nonsensical. Shouldn't it be:
"The C Programming Language: A language which combines the
power of assembly language (so far a compliment) with the
flexibility of [pause] assembly (expecting a high level!) language."
So this is an appeal to the probably hundreds of people a month who
use that line to reverse the order, and make it logically correct.
