Need Help with QC 2.5

   I'm new to the group, so please excuse me if the following problem has been
discussed before.  I also hope this is the appropriate group.

   I am trying to run QC 2.5 on an IBM PS/2 Model 30-286 with a PS/2
monochrome monitor.  I'm using Version 4.0 of DOS.

   Whenever I exit the QC environment, my screen goes complete blank.
If I blindly type QC again, I can reenter the QC environment.

   Furthermore, if I attempt to excute any DOS command from within the QC
environment, the same problem as above occurs.  In addition, I can set
only every other option vertically with the mouse because only those
options are ever highlighted when I return to the QC environment from the DOS
command.  Also I can move the mouse pointer only half-way down the edit window.

   Yes, I have searched the documentation for a solution and have found none.

   Before I go through the aggrevation of calling Microsoft, I was wondering
if anyone else has enountered the problem, and if there exists a simple
work-around.
