rn problem

I have just implemented rn on our Plexus system and am having the
following problem with inews:

Our inews is 2.10.2 so I had to add the inews.c.2.pat by hand, which
meant doing the ifdef DOXREFS stuff.
since 2.10.2 has the 2 extra lines ,(NFID and NFFROM), in the header
right before the OTHER, i opted to put in the ifdef after them.

I did then implement patch #17 after hand patching the former.

1) Every time after inews has been run to bringin new news I receive
about 20-25 letters in my mail reporting an inews error (input garbled)
I then end up with a lot of zero length articles, (no header either) in
my bad directory.
