Vtrek bugs

The vtrek game as posted doesn't work.  I tried applying some of the patches
and the one by Paul Kern ALMOST worked.  Problems I still have with the game
are:

1.	The clear screen sequence is interpreted wrong.
2.	The screen garbages when reading the instructions.
3.	When entering a command, it comes back with several "? for help"s,
	meaning it isn't recognising the command.

It looks like a fun game.  It's a shame it's full of bugs.
