Macintosh: SoundMaster vs Backgrounder

Sorry, I know this should be mailed to someone, but I cant find the
uucp addr.
I tried the "SoundMaster" on Mac SE (20Meg internal) using 
Finder 6.0, System 4.2, Multifinder 1.0; and got one problem:
So long as SoundMaster is active, i.e. in the System Folder and showing
up in Control Panel, background printing (to laserwriter on net)
is not allowed. That is, the buttons in Chooser window are dimmed.
Any help/info is appreciated.
