Ah, but if I understand the map entries correctly, watmath *IS* the
gateway!
I'm not sure if it should be the former, (i.e. path!domain!user) or
the latter (i.e. path!gate!domain!user). The pathalias output
contains only the path segment, and Mark's comments indicate the
former is correct (i.e. smail inserts domain!user). It seems to me
that the gateway machine should indeed be the one which decides how to
route into the domain. Certainly pathalias can't insert the gateway
machine into the output (i.e. path!watmath!xenitec!%s), since there's
no saying the gateway can be reached by '!' addressing.
