Comp.sources.reviewed is now an official moderated newsgroup, and the
"newgroup" control message has been posted.  (If you are not familiar
with the purpose of comp.sources.reviewed, see the Introduction message
in a companion posting.) The contact address for comp.sources.reviewed
is "csr at calvin.doc.ca".

There has been a lot of activity "behind-the-scenes" among the reviewers
in getting the newsgroup setup.  We are now ready to accept, review, and
post sources.  A set of Guidelines for Submissions is contained in a
companion posting.  We expect that these Guidelines will be revised from
time to time as we get into the review process, so your comments are
always welcome.

It looks like the official archives for comp.sources.reviewed will be
housed on uunet.uu.net, in a format similar to that used by the other
comp.sources.* groups.

We would like to thank Kent Landfield, Rich Salz, Andrew Partan, and
Steve Kinzler (among others) for providing their software and/or
assistance.  Their generosity has helped in getting this group set-up.
