need input to Notefiles from MMDF

Does anybody have code that will allow MMDF to input to the latest
version of Notesfiles?  The MMDF that I have has a program "rcvnotes"
that uses (apparently) an old Notesfiles format and makes some
unwarranted assumptions which I couldn't track down.  The Notesfiles
program "nfmail" doesn't seem to be able to receive from MMDF
either, or at least I couldn't figure out how to make it work.  Help.
