Hello to all potential readers of the newly created comp.sources.3b1,
and a word of "pre-thanks" to all of you who will be submitting programs
to be posted.
As most of you have probably noticed, the newsgroup has been created. I
am still trying to get all of the software set up here to handle the
postings so it will probably be about a week before anything appears in
the newsgroup. So far I have received three programs that will be
posted as soon as everything gets set up, plus one misdirected posting
which was returned to the author. I intend to keep the turnaround on
the postings to as short a time as possible and to help guarantee that I
will be having at least one co-moderator assisting me. By the way, if
you sent me mail offering to work as co-moderator and you are still
willing to do it please send me another mail message. It seems I had a
slight mishap with my mail processing and accidentally removed the wrong
mailbox.
I have made arrangements for two archive sites initially and I would
welcome anyone else who wants to volunteer the use of their disk space.
The two archive sites that I have set up are uunet and osu-cis. I will
be posting complete details in an informational posting once I get
things all set up here.
And finally, just to whet your appetite, here is a listing of the
subject lines from the postings that I have received so far:
Merlin J Mathesius xtclient: use a 3b1 as a layers terminal - Part 1 of 4
Jeffery A Buhrt My afio for even better floppy backups.
Mark Dapoz kernel configuration files, version 2
