Coming soon: hard disk upgrade plans, in electronic form!

I have gotten enough inquiries due to my incidental bragging :^) that I
have started seriously making an effort to put together some plans for
my "piggyback" on-the-motherboard second hard disk upgrade.
What's really cool is, it's 100% ascii, even the schematic! Sorry, I
don't do cheap draw :-) Anyway, when it's finished, I'll post it as a
shell archive. In it will be an introductory file, detailed procedures,
a schematic (I already drew that -- it just fits on one 80x66 sheet!) and
a wiring chart.
I won't be going to the level of explanation and detail that Gil and Lenny
did with their ICUS upgrade. They did a really admirable job of making the
upgrade accessible even to fairly uninitiated hardware hackers. My upgrade
will be directed toward the more seasoned hardware hacker. The plans
show a good deal of detail, but I omit such things as how to open the 3b1,
how to solder, where to find parts, etc. That information is generally
available from other sources, anyhow. I do go into detail where something
unusual is required, like bending pins on an IC a certain way or piggybacking
one chip onto another.
Well, you'll see! Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be
doing this, so if you're confident with a soldering iron and you're
contemplating a two disk upgrade for your 3b1, another alternative is
coming right up.
