There have been several price changes on 3B2's since the announcement
of the 3B2/1000 product. I am doing these from memory but here goes:
  
3B2/500 Pkg B (300MB/120 MB Tape)  $19,900
3B2/600                           ~$33,300

The 3B2/700 has also been reduced but I do not recall that price. All
3B2 peripherals (except, of course the 500/600/700 MPE units, they
are replaced by the new "PE" co-processors) are used on the 3B2/1000 models.
   
Basically, the 3B2/1000 Mod 60 and Mod 70 are basically the same as the
older 600 and 700 respectively. In addition, AT&T has announced that
effective immediately, 3B4000 ACP/700 systems (the 3B2/700's used by the
3B4000 for communications I/O) have been replaced by the "1070 ACP" (a
3B2/1000 Mod 70).

I have not been privileged to see one as yet (I was not in the cast of
thousands at the Orlando AT&T hootenany earlier this week), but those who
have seen it think they`re pretty sharp.

Other features include a new process scheduling algorithm for the model 80
to allow system calls to be executed on the PE.
