MIDAY - SOS - HELP - ...---...---...---...---...---...---
I use an ATT 3b1 running Unix 3.51m.
Yesterday I tried to change the default shell of the root user, so
I modified the last field of the line concerning root in /etc/passwd
(replacing /bin/sh by /bin/rootsh)
/bin/rootsh is a shell script which make an echo to warn
that you are super-user and make /bin/ksh
/bin/rootsh has the following access rights -rwx------ root users
:-(
I can't anymore log in under root account...
% su
makes the following err mesage "No shell"
% su root -c ls -l
makes "Non-standard shell - denied"
According to su(1) it seems possible to not use the shell indicated
in /etc/passwd but the standard shell (/bin/sh) to execute
a command... but I can't manage...
What could I do ? To pray UnixGod that the redemption for
silly administrators arrives ?
:-( bouhhhh bouuuhh ouuhhhhoouuuuuu (i.e. french crybaby onomatopoeia)
