layers insists that a layersys download file exist for every type of layers
terminal, whether one is needed or not. The 615, 620, and 630 don't need a
download file; so you just create one of zero length.
The layersys download files are in the directory /usr/dmd/lib/layersys/; my
directory looks like this:
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin 0 Apr 28 1987 /usr/dmd/lib/layersys/lsys.8;0;5
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin 0 Mar 2 1988 /usr/dmd/lib/layersys/lsys.8;4;5
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin 150810 Mar 2 1988 /usr/dmd/lib/layersys/lsys.8;7;3
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin 0 Mar 2 1988 /usr/dmd/lib/layersys/lsys.8;7;5
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin 0 Mar 2 1988 /usr/dmd/lib/layersys/lsys.8;8;5
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin 0 Aug 14 1987 /usr/dmd/lib/layersys/lsys.8;8;6
The lsys.8;0;5 file is the one needed by the 615. The one non-zero file is for
the early versions of the 5620.
This is also the file list being shipped with the OSx 4.4 release of the DMD
software. If you don't have the latest version, you should get it; there have
been some important bug fixes. There is also a PTF for OSx 4.4 to fix a bug in
the handling of "encoding" mode.
