telnetd eating up the cpu

When someone telnets into our Pyramid and sends a lot of data to
stdout, the cpu usage goes up to 100% for the telnetd running on his
line. This does not happen if he logs in using rlogin. Nor does it
happen using rlogin or telnet into a Sun, so this definitely looks like
a Pyramid bug.
My test is as simple as:
while true
do
cat /etc/passwd
done
This will peg the CPU meter and slow performance for ALL users.
Any ideas or news on this?
