You can get outboard protocol converters from companies like Comtex, for about
$3000, which emulate low speed (up to 9600) remote 3274s.  If you don't need
to do highly interactive stuff, you can probably make one of these work for you.

I think Pyramid's price of $11,500 is way too high, too.
