Request alternative call to wait4

I am currently in the process of porting some UNIX software which uses
calls to "wait4" which isn't provided on our machine. This call appears
to be an extension of "wait3" on other UNIX machines we are running here.

Is there an alternative routine that I could call?

I am trying to get this program running on a Pyramid 98x running OSx 4.4,
any help would be greatly appreciated.
