After Market SCSI Disks

I have got a Pyramid MIS4/4 running OSX 5.2 that has a SCSI 
adapter on it (With exabyte tape drive).  I want to add a cheap SCSI disk
onto this so that I can avoid having my spool/news areas on the main IPL
drives.
Has anyone got experience on doing this with pyramids or suggest brands
of disk that work. (BTW, the SCSI disks that Pyramid are expensive high
performance ones which is not what I am really after).
