Gnutar on 4d's?

	Has anyone got gnutar working sucessfully on a 4D?  If so,
would you mail me 1) how you did it, and 2) what version did you
manage to do this with?  What would be even better would be a
"gnu dump", but I've never heard of such an animal (yet).  Thanks
for any hints.
