disk transfer speeds

A few weeks ago somebody from sgi said that the 4D/25 gets very good
disk transfer speeds when talking to synchronous SCSI disks.  I am
very interested in numbers for this.  I am perfectly willing to take
(almost) best case results, since my application will involve
coarse-grain sequential reads of binary files.

So what ballpark is it going to be in?  400 kB/s?  600 kB/s?  1000 kB/s?
