24bits to msword compatible postscript

I'm looking for some code to translate a 24 bit window on the SGI 4D series to
microsoft word compatible postscript (similar to another request, i'm looking
for at least 16 grey levels -- 32 would be better).

Has anyone out there written a program to do this?
