Swapping performance on a 8MB 70/GT

   I would say you need more memory, 8Mb is just enough to run
the system and 4Sight, without having to page.  I don't know why
SGI sells the machines with only 8Mb, it just isn't enough.  In
addition to the extra memory you could try changing the program too.
