TeX and Metafont for the Personal Iris; site.h parameters

I have been successful bringing up both TeX 3.0 and Metafont 2.0 (available
from labrea.stanford.edu in the /pub/tex/unix3.0 directory) and TeX 3.1 and
Metafont 2.7 (via tape from University of Washington) using the following
site.h parameters: define SYSV, undef _POSIX_SOURCE, define HAVE_GETWD
(this is a sneaky one -- without it everything compiles and links cleanly;
but crashes with a stack/swap area overflow), define SPRINT_RETURN_TYPE int,
define REGFIX, and typedef signed char schar.  You will also have to edit
the Makefile's to remove the BSDisms, particularly the use of the "install"
program.  Otherwise, "salt to taste."
