IRIX named problem.

  We have a problem with the name server daemon on IRIX 3.3.1.

  If you start a namedaemon as a 'caching only' daemon, then
  only the gethostbyname(3) works, the gethostbyaddr(3) fails.
  Host names in .rhost file no longer work, you have to name these
  hosts by their internet address! This also holds for the 
  /etc/hosts.equiv files.

  Are we missing something? Or is it just a bug ?

  We informed our local distributor in Holland, but this way may
  be faster....
