3.3 disk loss

You won't lose any more than you would have under 3.1, unless you choose to
re-partition your disk, in which case the volume header will (probably) be
made 1 cylinder larger; this is to account for symmon (the kernel symbolic
debugger) being shipped as an optional subsystem starting in 3.2.

As far as how much more (or less) disk space is required in 3.3 vs 3.2,
that depends on just what products and subsystems you install, but in
general there is little variation.  Some subsystems (such as 4Dgifts)
are larger because more examples have been added. some other subsystems
have become larger also.  Some subsystems have become substantially smaller
because parts have been broken out into new subsystems.  It is therefore
difficult to say just how much more (or less) disk space you will have
after upgrading.
