(ugh) accounting

Hmm.  The /usr/adm/acct/sum and ../fiscal  reports do not contain
GID (just UID and login-name) information.

Is that infomation kept anywhere?  `man 4 acct' says the "acct" struct
contains ac_gid, but I do not see GID on any report.  I guess by the
time the acct records are converted to tacct records, this information
is lost (gid is not in the tacct struct in the same man page).

The reason I ask is, what if some user is working for 2 (or more) dep-
artments, and does a newgrp, and then runs a command.  Is that reflected
in any way in the accounting records (i.e. is the gid set in the acct
record in /etc/wtmp)?

Has anyone looked into modifying acctcon1 (or whatever converts acct(wtm)
records to tacct records - I must admit to being somewhat lost now) to
print the GID for the processes as well as the UID?
