Possible bug in 4Dgifts src code

I found this little piece of code in the rct.c file in the libgutil directory

The IBM compiler complained about it and I can see why.

rctcopy(scr,dst)
rct *scr, *dst;
{
     register rct *src, *dst; 

     *dst = *scr;
}

I replaced it with this,  I would assume that this is ok?

rctcopy(scr,dst)
rct *scr, *dst;
{
/*     register rct *src, *dst; */ /* IBM complained about this */

     *dst = *scr;
}
