Collection of functions that redirect GL functions

I seem to remember someone posting that he had a set of functions that would
redirect the input from the GL modeling functions to a file or something
similar.  These were to be posted to one of the anonymous ftp sites.  Does
anyone know of such a set of functions?  Please e-mail.
