kermit & uugetty

It should work fine, provide the version of kermit tried uses the SVR3
place for terminal lock files, /usr/spool/locks.  I have no idea
if the kermit in the gifts directory has been compiled that way.  Years
ago it was wrong, but it has been rumored to have been fixed.
