What are pflts in sar or osview?

Subject says it all. I would like a more complete explaination of what
pflt, copy and steal mean than the single line given in the man page
for osview. 

I recently observed our 4D/240s go from a pflt rate of about 50/sec to
over 200/sec and stay there. After a restart it returned to about 50/sec.

Does anybody know what this could mean and what should I do about it?
