Another fix is to make it not be bogus; a future release will probably do
so (and make UIDs and GIDs unsigned consistently, as they are in BSD and
S5).

And you can silence "sa" by changing the line in "root"s "crontab" file to
read:
15 0 * * * /usr/etc/sa -s 2>&1 >/dev/null | egrep -v '^Preposterous user id, 65534: ignored$'
