Ethernet packet type on Sun 3/160

Hi, I need our Sun 3/160 running SunOS 3.5 to be sending out IEEE 802.3
ethernet packets w/802.2 headers.  How do I make this change and then how
do I verify that it is indeed sending that type standard packet?
