8mm cassette backup info wanted

I need info on the various high-capacity 8mm tape drives for Suns.  We
would prefer something that would plug into our 3/180, without having to
purchase a SCSI interface.  Other machines on our net have SCSI, but we
don't want to do large dumps over the net.

What types of drives are available, and what are the costs?  Speed isn't
crucial (we can back up overnight).  Some ads state that the drives can
come with a 'pertec' interface.  What is that?  Would this be able to be
daisy chained off of our 1600bpi drive or use the same controller?
