3/60 lockup under X11r2

We having been having intermittent problems with our diskless Sun 3/60s
locking up after coming out of xlock under X11R2.  The symptoms are that
the 3/60 will unlock fine and you will be working.  Suddenly the display
will go black and nothing, including L1-a will get a response.  You have
to turn the power off and back on.  

I am not sure that this behaviour is related to xlock or even X11R2 since
I seem to recall it happening under Sunview.  It happens on a 3/60M and a
3/60C.  

Anyone seen similiar problems and have suggestions?
