rsh hanging

Thanks to all who responded to my query regarding 'rsh' hanging when
trying to reach other systems that are heavily loaded.  It seems that most
agree the most effective way to deal with this is by running 'rsh'
commands with a 'timer'.  A couple of these programs were sent to me, and
I think some are posted in alt.sources.
