in.rwhod problem

I have noticed that if more than one "route" command is run, or if there
is more than one line in /etc/gateways that "in.rwhod" doesn't seem to
work.  I find that my system entry in /var/spool/rwho is never updated.
Have I done something wrong, or is this a bug?  I'm running 4.0.3 on a
3/280S.
