Incorrect background color in Wingz for Sun

We have just obtained a few copies of Wingz 1.0 for the Sun sparc
platform.  On most of our Suns, it runs just fine.  However, on one server
and it's clients, the background color is reversed, rendering the text
unreadable.

For example, after firing up Wingz and opening the Help window, the window
contains only a black background (I assume there are some black letters in
there as well).  We get similar behavior in chart windows (black
background) and getfile windows (also a black background).

This problem has us completely baffled.  Both Sun and Informix say that
the problem lies with the other guy.  If anyone has seen this problem and
knows a solution, we'd like to hear about it.

Hardware/Software info:
Server:  Sun 4/370GX w/ 19" color, SunOS 4.0.3.
Clients: Sun 4/65GX w/ 16" color, SunOS 4.0.3.
