Problem with SCSI device config.

Help needed in solving the follow problem: We are currently running a Sun
SparcStation1 with the following SCSI devices attached.
SPARCSTATION |----SCSI cable----| DESKTOP DRIVE
(2x100 MB internals)| | (100 MB)
|---|
|
|___|
| 150 MB Tape Drive
|---|
|
|___|
| External Storage
| Unit (327 MB)
| Terminated
The problem occurs when there are a number of users accessing different
drives (especially the ESU). The system crashes with the following error
message: 'zs3: Silo overflow'
The Sun ref. manual states that the error is due to the Zilog 8530
character input silo overflowed before it could be serviced. This would
indicate that the configuration is wrong. Since the ESU must be the last
unit in the chain I am limited a few configurations.
Is this configuration TABOO or has anyone got a solution?
Thanks in advance,
