How to read MAC or DOS disks on SPARCstation?

Well, now that I have a nice new SPARCstation 1+ with its built in floppy
on my desk of course I want to use is for all kinds of fun things. Can
anyone point me to a utility that can read and write Mac format 1.44 Mb
floppies on the SPARC? Or DOS format would work too, since I can read
those on the Mac.
[[Ed's Note: I don't know of a utility to read MAC disks, however, one
called MTOOLS exists which will read DOS formatted disks (in either 720k
or 1.44M format). MTOOLS is available from uunet.uu.net (192.48.96.2) in
the directory /comp.sources.misc/volume11/sparc-mtools. The files you need
are part0{1,2,3}.Z. Additionally, there is a set of patches which correct
some problems with 720k reading/writing - these are highly recommended and
available from titan.rice.edu (128.42.1.30) in the /sun-source directory
under the filename of mtools.patches. -bdg]]
I can copy an ASCII text file from a DOS disk by fgrep-ing for the first
block block of the file (fgrep -b "Some text in the file" /dev/rfd0 ) and
then copying from there with dd. But talk about grungy!
Better ideas, anyone?
