Suns translucent filing system, help needed.

Having seen the tfs in the 'new software' bit is the Installation Manual,
I thought I'd give it try.  However, no information relating to tfs is to
be found in the Systems Admin manual, and the global index just points me
to the sections 1, 4 and 8 of the reference manuals.  So from them I
tried.  mount_tfs ..... gives mount_tfs: Internal error: Cannot connect to
tfsd on selby: RPC: Program not regi stered

Trying to start tfsd by hand gives:
tfsd should only be started by inetd

And at that point I'm stuck.  Any help or comments appreciated.
