Hi everybody ! We would like to do 3-D reconstructions from medical image
files, eg CT-slices and MR-datasets. The following items cause some
problems :

1. Hardware to use: is a Sparc-2 sufficient?
2. What kind of avilable software packages could do the job? (I just know
about the ANALYZE package from MAYO foundation)
3. How could we get the data in a workstation ? The output (from the
CT-machines) can only be done with 8-inch floppies, but every vendor
(Siemens, Philips) uses a proprietary file format, so we'd need some kind
of a translator program. Ever heard about such a thing? Ever seen an
8-inch drive running on a workstation?
4. Output of the reconstructed data: Hardcopy units (with color output) on
   X-ray-films don't seem to exist.

Any kind of advise is heavily appreciated.
