ftruncate on /dev/audio

The following code crashes sparcstations running 4.1.1.  Anyone
know if Sun has fixed this yet?

fd = open ("/dev/audio", O_RDWR);
ftruncate(fd, 8192);
}

PS. You can get the same results by rcping from a remote host into
a local /dev/audio.  Cute huh?
