Fujisu M2263SA problem

Hello,

 This is my first attempt at posting to the net. I just received a Fujitsu  
M2263SA hard drive and am trying to hook it up to an IPC. After changing the  
SCSI ID on the drive to ID0 and formatting I get the following message.

Block 1315658 (1624/4/2) Fatal non-media
                         illegal request
Warning: error writing back-up label

It seemed to format ok, I tryed using the "Sun0669" drive type when formatting  
and tryed using my own which made no difference except the bock number was  
different.
