RPC server and client deadlocking

Hi RPC-experts,

I have a self written RPC server and client which run fine but, after 
running some time do deadlock. The client is also a transient server.
All calls to server are done synchron and no batched. All calls to the
transient server in the client are done async and batched. All calls
are with tcp.

The server is blocking in a write call. Here are the last few lines from
a 'trace server' command :

select (64, 0xf7ffef88, 0, 0, 0xf776e0d0) = 1
read (10, "".., 4000) = 92
write (10, "".., 28) = 28
select (64, 0xf7fff898, 0, 0, 0) = 1
select (64, 0xf7ffef88, 0, 0, 0xf776e0d0) = 1
read (10, "".., 4000) = 92
write (7, "".., 4000) =  

The client also blocks in a write call.

It seems that the problem has something to do with filled buffers, because
when I do a 'netstat -f inet' it gives me :
