Formatting a Wren 8

Has anyone out there formatted a Seagate Wren 8 on a Sun
(SunOS 4.1)?  The Seagate "intallation manual" (one sheet
of paper) doesn't give much information and there is no
similar device in Sun's /etc/format.dat.
