TCP/IP Networking of PCs and a SPARC 2 on Twisted Pair

Thanks to all who replied to my earlier posting re ethernet connections
on twisted pair for a SPARC 2 and PCs.

The problem was the sqe signal on the 3Com boards.  It was turned on,
while the Wang hub (and apparently many other manufacturers equipment)
wants it turned off.  Changing this setting cured all problems.  No
other hardware or software changes were required.
