Hello,
This morning after months of successful use my Exabyte tape drive
just 'took a dump' as we say. It kept giving me device not ready or
offline? (Not exact text). Anyway I did a dd if=/dev/rst2 a few times on
it to try and read the tape headers I have for my backup tapes and after
several tries I received this in my console window.
si0: si_cmd: no command phase
si0: resetting scsi bus

Guess what after it reset now it works. Anyone have any idea why
this is.
